I blend science and canine psychology to provide a fully tailored program which brings out the best in every dog
Hi! My name is Marta. Like all dog trainers and behaviourists, I have loved dogs since I was a little girl. I constantly begged my parents to allow me to have one but they resisted and always said "no", so by the time I was 14, I started offering dog walkings to our neighbours' and friends' dogs, just to be able to spend time with these wonderful animals.
10 years later, I completed IMDT's (International Modern Dog Trainers) "Career as a dog trainer" advanced professional course, and along the studies and dog sitting/walking jobs, I had my own dog (a rescue), volunteered at shelters, helped a rottweiler breeder with her 16 puppies...
I kept deepening my knowledge throughout the years and completed various courses: IDMT's Perfect Puppy, Loose Leash Walks, Separation Distress courses, Victoria Stilwell's Dog Training Academy, even a dog groomer one! ... and thought I knew it all....
However, it was only when I completed COAPE's (Centre of Applied Pet Ethology) two-year Dog Behaviour diploma course, that I truly understood the psychology and behavior of dogs and the scientific principles behind their natural instincts and actions.
Today, I use that understanding and knowledge to help owners and families with their dogs through a variety of training and behaviour modification programs. One of the key elements I share is the concept of the seven core emotional states dogs experience, and why creating balance between them is so important as well as the inherited predatory motor patterns and how to satisfy them. My approach combines psychological and scientific principles, while also respecting each dog's unique personality, past experiences, traumas, emotions, and moods.
I don't believe in quick fixes or one-size-fits-all solutions. I design step-by-step, personalised recommendations tailored to both your dog and your lifestyle every time, each time.
You will not find pre-packaged videos or generic training files in my programs — because every dog is different and they all deserve an approach that truly fits them.
I am an active member of the International Association of Animal Behaviour Consultants (IAABC) and regularly attend seminars and courses to learn about the latest researches and studies.
